Transforming the Textile Technology Center's branding to better reflect its leadership position within the modern textile industry.
For over 70 years, the Textile Technology Center has played a significant role in helping the North Carolina textile industry remain competitive, manufacture quality products, and maintain a well-trained workforce. Today, located on Gaston College's Kimbrell campus, the Textile Technology Center serves the nation and world with American ingenuity that's leading the way in the advanced materials revolution.
With so much innovation and change, it was time to update TTC's branding to capture its competitive edge while better aligning itself with the Gaston College brand. Through a highly collaborative branding process, we developed a refreshed brand positioning framework and presented three new logos to choose from. "We were so excited to receive the final product because all the options looked so good," said Julie Ostrowski, Executive Director of Marketing.
The selected logo presented a contemporary, forward-facing brand identity that received enthusiastic support from industry leaders as well as students, faculty, and staff. The new identity also won Gold at the 39th Annual Educational Advertising Awards and Platinum at the 2023 MARCOM Awards.
